Mcfly - Radio Active (2008)
This is mcfly's 4th album and it seems as if they are trying to rebrand their image from the sweet teenagers singing pop songs with a punk rock twist, to a more indie image the microphone tongue could symblise their influence from The Rolling Stones toungue logo and this influence may be crossed over in to their music.
The cover art on the CD and DVD continue the theme and have the same image of the mutated microphone but with the colours reversed, the background has a lighter green pattern which makes the focus of your attention the discs.
Inside the digipak there is a booklet that includes images of the band these pictures show them to be carefree young men who have a lot of fun their fans will aspire to be one of them or have a life like they have. There are also pages which have their song's lyrics on them, the lyrics are rough scribbles and have lots of words crossed out which suggests that they are copies of how the original song was made.
Some good analysis of a digipack here Laura, showing some command of terminology and development of analysis.
